Location.

   “La Quinta de Bolívar is located in: Bogotá, Colombia in the "Calle 20 No. 2 – 91".


History.


   It’s history goes back to 1670 when Pedro Valenzuela donated to the shrine of Montserrat 100 Castilians varas of land, located at a place called “La Toma de la Aduana”. In 1800, Jose Torres Patiño, sold the property in the amount of $120 to the main counter Income Snuff of Santa Fe, Don José Antonio Portocarrero (The new owner of the fifth).


     After the independence of Colombia, the fifth was bought by the newly independent government as a gift for “El Libertador” Simon Bolívar.

   “La Quinta de Bolívar” was the place where “El Libertador” Simon Bolívar stays for 423 days (The place where “El Libertador” Simon Bolívar stays for the longer period of time).


Architectonic information.

   “La Quinta de Bolívar” has a beautiful architectonic structure of the years 1670-1820.

Description.

             At the beginning of the house in the entrance you can see a beautiful fountain. In the center of the house there is a garden that has some old trees that their branches fall down, a lot of bushes and a lot of flowers. In the lobby the only things you can see are tables, chairs and porcelain vases. In the Manuelita’s room you can see some pictures, some chairs, two balconies, one mirror and some porcelain vases. In the hearth room you can see some tables, some chairs, one picture, three balconies, one shelf and one fireplace. In the great hall you can see a lot of chairs, some tables, a lot of pictures, two mirrors and one shelf. In liberator’s bedroom you can see one bed, some shelves, some chairs and some pictures. In the dining room you can see one table, a lot of chairs, a lot of windows and one candelabrum. In the kitchen you can see a lot of wood and a lot of instruments to cook. In the bedroom of José Palacios you can see one table, one bed, one hammock and one picture. In the orchard the only thing you can see are plants. In the vintage point is like a terrace where you can see the entire house. In the square flags the only thing you can see is a statue and some flags of Colombia. In the barrack square you can see some weapons.
